Episode 2 - The Calm Before the Storm

Thanks to everyone for your amazing feedback thus far! The Ravelry group is now up and the podcast is available on iTunes.

FOs: My vanilla socks in Neighborhood Fiber Company Studio Sock are now finished and I love them! I knit these in the Bloomingdale colorway. I'm definitely a converted sock knitter now.

On the needles:  My next vanilla socks are in Paton's Kroy in blue striped ragg and, man, everyone is knitting with this yarn! My project bag is from Lizard's Bazaar. I made a small bit of progress on my Pomme de Pin cardigan designed by Amy Christoffers. I'm using Little Knitty Bird stitch markers on this project.

Marinating: I'm interested in starting a Mizutama Shawl by Olga Buraya-Kefelian in MadelineTosh 80/10/10 sport weight -- color to be revealed when it arrives in the mail. I also am planning on knitting a Bolt Shawl by Veera Valimaki in Baa Ram Ewe Titus that I picked up at The Yarn Lounge in Richmond, VA.

On the stovetop: My glogg party was a great success! I used a few recipes from Nordstjernan, as well as a punch recipe from Martha Stewart Living and a Mushroom Walnut Pate adapted from The Vegan Table by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau. I also made a great spin on cassoulet for a weeknight dinner. I'll share my recipe soon!
